Today we are going to share a tutorial by Lisa Eldridge about Navy Blue smokey eye makeup. Usually, we have the gray and black when it comes to smokey eye makeup but trying out different colors can be fun, especially if you try bold colors like navy blue, emerald green, royal maroon etc. I am going to brag a lot about navy blue because it is my favorite most color!!
The best part about Lisa Eldridge tutorial is that it is for those girls who have hooded eyes. They do not have enough space in their eye socket to work on with their eye shadow. This is one real problem, but you don’t have to worry anymore because Lisa explains in her tutorial how to tackle with such a problem!
Here is an inspiration pic for a Icy blue Smokey eyes by adding a little silver or metallic white to the center of the lids. This changes the whole look and adds such a cool vibes to the look.
I am going to mention the makeup products that Lisa uses in her tutorial but you can go for your makeup products if you don’t have the ones that I mention in this tutorial.
Navy Blue Smokey Eye Makeup by Lisa Eldridge
- Lisa begins by applying Nars-Pro prime Smudge proof Eye shadow base. This is an amazing primer and it promotes the adherence of eye shadow to the eyelid.
- Now use an eye shadow shield to prevent the fallout falling on your cheeks and then ruining your base.
- The next step is to apply Dior-5 colors eye shadow, using eye shadow brush! I am sure you are applying the navy blue color in an upward and outward fashion. Keep blending until you see 1 mm of navy blue eyeshadow above your crease.
- By using the same brush smudge some of the eye shadow on your lower eyelid. This adds more drama to your eyes. Make sure you keep it thin and neat.
- Using BAD gal waterproof eyeliner by Benefit, apply thin liner on your upper and lower eyelid. It should be very close to the lash line. Also, line your lower waterline. Do not give it an arch, it should be plain.
- By using a blending brush by Sigma, smudge the eyeliner on your lower lid so that it spreads uniformly and is less distinct.
- The next step is to use a darker shade of navy and charcoal color by The Body Shop on the outer corner of your eye. Move the blending brush outwards and upwards to create an oval shape. This gives the eye a darker tinge on the outer corners.
- Using a lighter blue shade, start blending it to the outer edge of the shadows. This will soften the look and blend it as well. There won’t be any sudden changes in eye shadow color using this technique. Use this color from the palette of The Body Shop eye color.
- Take the same brush and apply some eye shadow on your lower lid just beneath the darker navy color. This is going to soften your entire look.
- Apply a silver shade from the Dior 5 colors eye shadow palette, on your inner corners of eyes. This will help in accentuating the shape of your eye.
- Use a Chanel eyelash curler to curl your lashes. This lifts your eyes and makes them more open and attractive.
- The final step is to add a little mascara to your eyelashes. You can use Max Factor false lash effect mascara or you can go for false lashes. Both ways you will end up looking hot!
- Do not forget to give few touches to your eyebrows with the eyebrow brush. Make sure you fill the empty spaces using a lighter color compared to your hair color.
- To remove any fallout beneath your eyes, use a Lasting Perfection Concealer by Collection 2000. Stroke it in a vertical direction.
