Morocconoil Treatment Review

Hello Everyone,

I have used quite a few of serums but lately nothing seems to be working on my dry hair. So, I decided to change my hair care regime and included some new (but expensive) products to see the difference. I have been looking to pamper my dry and frizzy hair with a luxury hair serum to bring back their lustre and shine, this is when I came across this pretty bottle of Morocconoil Treatment

Product Claims: Hair that’s silky, healthy, shiny and full of life. Moroccan oil® Treatment is the product that pioneered oil-infused hair care and created the worldwide buzz on argan oil. An essential foundation for hairstyling that can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool. Infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil, strengthening proteins and shine-boosting vitamins, this completely transformative treatment detangles, speeds up drying time and boosts shine—leaving hair smooth, manageable and nourished with each use. Discover the original.

Direction for Use:- Apply 1–2 pumps of Moroccanoil® Treatment to clean, towel-dried hair, from mid-length to ends. Blow-dry or let dry naturally. Apply on dry hair to tame flyaways or condition split ends.

  • TIP: Mix a few drops of Moroccanoil Treatment with Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask, Weightless Hydrating Mask or Restorative Hair Mask for added nourishment.

Ingredients:- cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, cyclomethicone, butylphenyl methylpropional, argania spinoza kernel oil, linseed extract, fragrance supplement, D&C Yellow-11, D&C Red-17, coumarin, benzyl benzoate and alpha-isomethyl ionone.

Price:- Rs.2650 for 100ml

Shelf Life:- 36 months from the Mfg date.

Packaging:- Morocconoil Treatment comes in a bright turquoise blue cardboard box which contains the Oil Treatment bottle and a pump dispenser. All the details about the product are mentioned on the box as well as the bottle. Morocconoil Treatment is housed in a tinted sleek glass bottle which is heavy and sturdy but I guess it wont survive a drop so be extra careful while handling it. The pump can be locked which makes it easy to travel with, without any leaking concerns.

My experience with Morocconoil Treatment:-

Morocconoil Treatment is tinted yellow colored liquid with a medium-thin gel like consistency. It is not as runny as Livon Moroccan Silk Serum or Wella Oil reflections owing to its gel formulation but it does spread with similar ease on hair. It has a lovely fragrance which is quite soothing to my senses and lasts for few hours post application.

I pour 2-3 pumps of this Morocconoil Treatment on my hands, rub it between palms and apply it on damp hair. Initially, I thought it would turn hair greasy or weigh them down the very next day but to my surprise it felt super light on hair. It has a non-greasy texture which gets absorbed quickly leaving behind silky smooth hair with a beautiful shine.

I haven’t got any hair treatment done like rebonding or straightening but got them colored few months back which made them a bit rough and dry. I use it on towel dried hair and it does work wonderfully in making my tresses softer, smoother and shinier. I do not style my hair regularly but it can be used as a styling serum to prevent any damage to the hair while using heating tools on hair.

The formula is free from alcohol but it does contain silicones as the main ingredient. It is infused with Argan Oil which nourishes hair naturally and the silicones provide a smoother touch to the hair

Recommendation:- Morocconoil Treatment is a leave-in hair serum that can be applied on towel-dried or dry hair to make them more manageable and reducing frizz. It has a light –weight, non greasy formula which absorbs quickly leaving behind smoother, softer, silkier and shinier hair. It is infused with Argan oil and has a soothing fragrance but you have to pay a hefty amount for it. It is a luxury product and also loaded with chemicals like Silicones but I love the way it makes my hair feel and smell. Do give it a shot if you are looking to pamper your hair and okay with Silicones in the serum. Recommended!

  • I am on the hunt for a serum that will tame my tresses..btw do u know if this range offers pure argan oil?

  • I so want to get my hands on this one. Guess loreal mythic oil is a cheaper substitute which I am using currently and I am loving it so far :)

  • I do not understand why these serums have such haughty prices when all they contains lots of silicons rather than the oil by which they are marketing their product. They may impart shine and tame frizzy tresses at the moment but they aren't good in the long run.
