Maybelline has bombarded Indian makeup addict janta with their new launches again and I feel the most damaging one is their new Gel Eye pencils, Maybelline Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencils. I love Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel eye liner and I feel it is the same with everyone. Another thing that I am addicted to are colored eye liners and my latest favorite were L’Oreal Silkissime Eye Liners which are smooth as silk. And now Maybelline decided to come up with their Colored gel eye liners aka Eye Pencils with Maybelline Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil collection. Waited for them to come up with something like this for so long, and finally it happened. So, lets see how are these, starting with Maybelline Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil in Lustrous Sapphire.

My experience with Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil:

Maybelline Gel Pencils comes in a color coded sharpenable pencil packaging with a clear cap.  They very much remind of the L’Oreal Silkissime Eye Pencils.

Shade: Lustrous Sapphire is a bright blue shade with a creamy matte finish. There are no shimmers or sparkles in the formula and it can used as a Kajal / Kohl on waterline. Not everyone will be able to pull this off but if you are game for some bright blue eyes, give this a shot!

Formula: Smmoooth!! Yes.. that’s exactly how I will define the formula of these Maybelline Gel Pencils. The Gel Eye Pencils have a buttery smooth texture which glides on beautifully. Also, it sets quickly to a transfer-proof finish which makes it just perfect.

Pigmentation: The Maybelline Eye Pencils have totally blown me over with their color payoff! They are immensely pigmented and give rich color in single swipe. Have to swipe it 2-3 times on waterline but on lids I am good with just one.

Longevity: The most important and deciding factor for any eye pencil for me is its lasting power and I was totally stunned by how well it hold up on my lids. I have slightly oily lids so liners starts fading after 6-8 hours but this looked intense and as good as fresh even after 10 hours of wear. No smudging, flaking, lightening whole day. It is comfortable on lids and easy to take off with an oil based remover.

Recommendation: Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil has got me hooked to them. I am in love with this Lustrous Sapphire shade and I just can’t wait to add more shades (actually all of them) in my collection especially that nude one.. I see you! So, if you are looking for a colored eye liner, look no further than these Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Pencils. They are super creamy, pigmented and lasts whole day. Highly Recommended!
