Packaging:- The Lip stain aka Balm stain come a chubby mechanical stick type packaging. The fatso stick is colored in the shade of lip stain with a similar colored plastic cap and has a rotatable silver metallic bottom to move the stick up and down. The color-coded packaging of the lip stain makes them easy to locate. The packaging isn’t very appealing but I find it travel-friendly.
My experience with Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Rendezvous:-
Rendezvous is an immensely beautiful orangey-coral shade with barely detectable golden shimmers which gives this color a lovely opulent sheen. It is not a loud orange but a bright warmer soft orange shade (more orange than coral) with extremely tiny shimmers that are never felt on lips.
The formula is silky smooth but doesn’t melt like a lipstick on application. It imparts subtle orange tint to lips in a glossy and sheer finish. I have pigmentation issues with this color as it doesn’t give complete coverage even after layering heavily unlike Smitten which went almost opaque with multiple swipes. The coverage is much less than a lipstick but better than any of the pigmented lip balms or lip glosses. On my slightly pigmented lips, natural lip color could be seen but still love the way it looks on me. The color will look flattering on fairer skin tones but I find it pretty good against my medium-fair skin too.
The balm stain gives an even finish on exfoliated and well-moisturized lips but will turn patchy on dry-chapped lips. Initially, it is lightly hydrating to the lips but within an hour as the color tends to set, lips start feeling stretchy and a bit dry too, so dry lips have to apply a lip balm to keep the lips moist.

LOTD–
Staying power of this balm stain isn’t great but still remarkable. The color doesn’t fade off significantly and wore for 6 hours easily on me with light snacks in between, though it requires reapplication post lunch. It has staining pigments which never leave lips completely n*de and very light hint of color could still be detected on lips unlike others light colored lipsticks.
This is my look of the day..
Pros of Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Rendezvous:-
- Wearable warm Orangey-coral shade
- Smooth texture
- Glides effortlessly
- Feels light on lips
- Glossy finish
- Great color for fair and medium-fair skin tones
- Survives light snacks easily but requires re-application post full meals
- Mild minty fragarnce
- Pretty colored packaging
- Lovely summer/spring shade
Cons of Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Rendezvous:-
- Needs to be layered heavily for the color to show
- Sheer coverage
- Settles in fine lines on chapped lips
- Requires reapplication
Recommendation:- Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous is a soft warm orangey lip color in a semi-sheer finish with gorgeous watery shine. It doesn’t give opaque coverage and have color pay-off less than a lipstick but more than any pigmented lip balm. The velvety smooth formula glides nicely without any tugging or pulling, imparting a tint of orange shade and lots of shine to lips. The color would show better on un-pigmented lips and will look flattering on fair complexions. It isn’t a great color for medium-dark or dusky complexion and would barely show on pigmented lips. The coverage will be smooth and even on exfoliated and well-moisturised lips. I am absolutely love-stuck by this lovely orange lip colour and like the tinted and semi-sheer finish of this lip stain.
I have fallen into the Lip Stain lover’s category and would never step out of home without them, they have become a must-have in my make-up kit. I would love to try other available lip stains in the market and stash in all available lip colors.
PS: I am receiving compliments for my long lasting lip colors, which made love these even more. 🙂
