Hello Friends,

Most of us must have started using sunscreen in our school times when we had minimal info on sunscreens (let me know if you disagree).

I started with Lakme sunscreen (with some TPI-70) as this was the only sunscreen I knew existed at that time but the sunscreen always gave me that shiny greasy look. It felt heavy on my skin making it dark and oily. No matter how less I take it gave the same greasy feel and as soon as I step outside (into the scorching heat) my face starts sweating like anything.

I preferred to stay away from sunscreens after that. But then Lotus came to our rescue with its Matte Sunblock the “3 in 1 Matte Look Daily SunBlock SPF-40” that I am going to review today.

From the back of the tube:- 3-in-1 daily sunblock is a revolutionary sun protection formulation which combines broad-spectrum UVA & UVB protection with skin lightening ingredients to give a uniform matte finish to the skin. Its fast absorption and non-greasy formula ensures a shine-free, light & clean feel.

Directions for use : Apply liberally and evenly on face and exposed parts of the body (neck, arms, legs, etc.) before exposure to sun. Re-apply frequently

Packaging:- The sunblock comes in an opaque earthy orange colored opaque plastic tube. It has a flip cap which shuts tight with a click sound. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly but the only issue I had with this lotions is it tends to accumulate near the opening of the tube (ewwww…..)

My experience with Lotus Herbals Safe Sun 3 in 1 Matte SunBlock SPF40 :-

The sunblock is brown (sandalwood like) in color and has a nice herbal smell. It doesn’t feel greasy unlike Lakme sunscreens. It has a light, non-greasy texture slightly runny but spreads evenly all over the face. It gets absorbed quickly and gives a matte finish but doesn’t feel drying at all. I have a dry skin and I totally love its finish on my skin.

It can be used as a substitute to light coverage foundations as it acts as tinted moisturizer and gives a smooth and even finish to the skin. It never broke me out.

It has been effective in preventing my skin from getting tanned as it contains high SPF and also provides UVA protection.

 Recommendation:- Lotus Herbals Safe Sun 3 in 1 Matte SunBlock SPF40 is one of the best sunscreens I have used till date. Easy to use packaging, affordable, non greasy, high SPF and matte finish. I love everything about this sunscreen and I am never going to part from this.  Highly recommended!!!
