L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick Tender Pink

The moment I see any bright poppy shade, peachy lipsticks looks kinda bore and get mowed over by my love for color. I choose vibrant colors over the natural nudes, as I know I will wear brights more often and today when I look into my lipstick collection, I see only bright Pinks and Red with just 2-3 MLBB shades, bought years ago. It has been more than a year that I wore a neutral lip color.. wearable peachy pink lips but lately, I have this unusual craving to do a neutral lip look but didn’t liked any from my stash.. that calls for adding something new super-soon!!

So when Preetha from IndianBeautyJournal put this lipstick up on sale, I had to buy it.. one for the color, 2nd being my 2nd L’Oreal Lipstick as I have tried only one till date and haven’t explored L’Oreal much in this section and 3rd.. (any guesses).. the selling price obviously.. :P. I don’t have the heart to scoop out a whooping amount for a drugstore lippy and whenever I see these.. my mind starts debating to rather go for MAC.. and with this confusion I end up no where buying nothing and coming back home empty handed several times.
Enough of blabbering.. let’s come back to review and see how I liked this L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Tender Pink.

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a classy golden packaging with shiny metallic top and band running in the center with L’Oreal engravings. The shade number and color sticker is pasted at the bottom for easy identification of the color which also makes it easy to locate if you own many of these. The cap closes with a nice click sound and makes it travel friendly. It has slanted tip bullet with L’Oreal logo carvings, which makes the lipstick even more appealing. Overall i like the pakcging and the elegance feel to it.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick Tender Pink:

Tender Pink is a warm toned medium pink with peachy undertones and subtle hint of mauve in the background. It is a lovely muted mauvish pink which looks more of an MLBB shade on me. It is a universal flattering shade and will work for all types of skin tones. It is not the usual peachy pink lip color but extremely wearable and could be the best pick for work/college (neutral lip lovers).

The texture is creamy which makes the lipstick glides smoothly without any pulling or tugging at lips but is not buttery soft that will melt on lips like Maybelline Moisture Extremes. The formula hugs my lips which gives very less scope for the color to go beyond lip boundaries and the slanted tip shapes makes it easy to shape and fill in lips with bullet only. It feels light on lips and wears comfortably.

The formula isn’t moisturizing but lightly hydrating which doesn’t made my lips feel dry even after hours of wear. It is highly pigmented and its rich color pigments gives a complete coverage to my slightly pigmented lips in just two swipes. The finish is somewhere between creme and semi-mate which aids the long wear time of the color. It easily lasts for 4-5 hours one with snacks in between and even survives full meal if taken cautiously.

Recommendation: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick in Tender Pink is a dusty mauvish pink shade with neutral peachy brown undertones. I rarely get impressed by muted /neutral shades but this is phenomenal. The color may vary based on your skin tones as it might look bit brighter and pinker on fairer skin tones but looks a beautiful MLBB on warmer Indian skin.. The formula is smooth and creamy to apply and two swipes are enough to cover my pigmented lips. The finish is almost matte but doesn’t make my lips any drier upon application. The staying power is pretty decent for a neutral lip color as it lasts 5-6 hours on me. It is such a lovely lipstick, it has become my favorite MLBB at the moment.

I am highly impressed with these Color Riche lipsticks and next on my list is the gorgeous Pink Passion. Recommended, if you dont mind its high price!
