Maybelline has come up with four dazzling pink shades few months back with Maybelline Pink Alert Lipsticks. The bright candy pink lipstick collection has been an instant hit with all the pink crazy girls who were missing such pretty pinks at affordable price tag. Today I am reviewing the bright pink lipstick from Pink Alert collection, Maybelline Color Sensational Pink Alert Lipstick in Pow1.

Product Claims: Amp up your pout by painting your lips with Maybelline’s Pink Alert by Color Sensational Lip Colors. But, pink is never just pink, right? Maybelline brings you 4 different pink shades to choose from, so go ahead enjoy the magic of pink!

Packaging: The Maybelline pink Alert comes in signature Color Sensational Packaging but with a Bright pink cap. The wrapper has all the details including ingredients price and even the range name. It would have been great it that had been printed on the cap, after removing the wrapper I looked for the label all over the cap :P. The shade indicator and name are mentioned at the bottom of the bullet case.

My Experience with Maybelline Pink Alert Lipstick Pow 1:

Shade: Pow1 is a bright blue based neonish pink lipstick. I used to run away from such fuchsia pinks but of late I love such bold pink lipsticks which instantly brighten up my face and the day :).  All bachelorettes are going to fall in love with this fearless, fun pink shade but if you are more of an MLBB person this color/range is not for you.

Texture: Pow 1 has buttery creamy texture which glides on easily on lips giving a smooth even finish. If you have dry chapped lips then you’ll love the creamy texture as it doesn’t require you to prep your lips with a balm or follow with one even after hours post application.

Pigmentation: It comes quite sheer in single swipe but it builds up wonderfully with 2nd stroke. It takes 2 more swipes to give almost opaque coverage enough tp cover lip pigmentation but there is slight translucency even after that. It can be worn lightly as a stain or in full bloom, I like the latter better.

Finish: It has a creamy glossy finish and doesn’t have any shimmers. There is no need to top it up with a gloss as the glossy shine lasts for hours. The formula never feels cakey or heavy on lips though it feels a little sticky just like a gloss. Inspite of being creamy, it doesn’t bleed or slips around. It’s Jojoba Oil infused formula keeps my lips moisturized for long and I don’t see it settling in cracks and lines of my lips.

Staying Power – Pow 1 has surely impressed me with its long staying power. I wasn’t expecting a creamy lippie to survive more than 3-4 hours but it lasted for more than 6 hours on me with meals in between. The formula clings to lips and refuses to budge. It survives all the eating and drinking despite its creamy texture.

Recommendation: Maybelline Pink Alert Lipstick Pow1 is a vibrant fuchsia pink with crème glossy finish and buttery smooth texture which glides beautifully on lips. The formula hugs lips like matte lipsticks but it doesn’t suck out moisture rather makes them feel comfy with it’s rich moisturising consistency. Its super-glossy finish stays for around 3-4 hours and I love that it doesn’t transforms to a semi-matte finish like other long lasting crème formulas.  The amazing staying power of this creamy lipstick took me by surprise.. very impressive. Pow1 is totally my type of shade and if you also love flaunting bright pinks than you ought to try this range. Highly Recommended !
