Mama Earth Skincare Products for Babies
This is going to be my first time I am posting with my “Mommy” blogger hat on. After being a mom, the first and foremost thing for me is to protect my baby. Be it the veil eyes or the harmful chemicals. When it comes to picking up skincare products for my baby I always opt for the ones that are safe and have trusted by other Mom’s. Though, I have been on a lookout for a more natural baby skin care products so that no harmful chemical can touch my baby’s delicate skin. And I got super excited when I came to know about this new skincare range of baby products in India, which claims to be 100% toxin-free “Mama Earth”.

Packaging: Mama Earth Baby Skincare Products have the cutest packaging I have ever seen on baby products. Each product carries a cute animal picture which makes the products even more interesting and a bit amusing for babies. The green cap with white bottle combination feels very soothing too. Also, the bottles feel very sturdy and the caps shut tight which makes it perfect for travels.
PS: My kid has never been crazy for any bottle but the cutesy packaging of these catches his attention and he just want to play with these. 🙂
My experience with Mama Earth Baby Skincare Products:
Mama Earth Gentle Cleansing Shampoo (Rs 299 for 200ml): Mama Earth Gentle Cleansing Shampoo is a clear gel with thin runny consistency. This shampoo is formula without any Sulphates or phthales and is enriched with the goodness of Coconut based cleansers and jojoba oil to keep scalp nourished and hydrated.
The shampoo gives good lather when mixed with water and I just need a tiny amount of it to get satisfactory results. It has a very mild formula and tear-free, so doesn’t sting even if gets into the eyes.
It contains Aloe vera extract and lavender essential oil which gives it the signature soothing scent. It doesn’t feel drying at all and leaves skin mildly scented.
Mama Earth Moisturising Daily Lotion (Rs 299 for 200ml): Mama Earth Moisturising Daily Lotion has a thin creamy consistency which applies easily. The formula is enriched with the goodness of Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil and many more natural ingredients.
The lotion needs a little massage to get into the skin but once it starts getting absorbed it gives a comfortable non-greasy feel to the skin. It nourishes the skin and keep it soft and hydrated for hours, without making skin look oily owing to its nourishing texture.
It contains Chamomile Essential Oil which gives it a relaxing fragrance for my baby and me to enjoy! Personally, I prefer products with more of a subtle baby scent than the essential oil fragrance.
Mama Earth Soothing Massage Baby Oil: This baby massage oil is natural blend of pure almond oil, Sesame Oil, and jojoba Oil along with calming essential oils of Lavendar and Chamomile. The Oil comes with a pump dispenser packaging which makes it convenient and hygienic to use.
The oil has a light weight texture so it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. It gets absorbed into the skin within few second of massage. Also, the oil doesn’t stain clothes unlike some of the baby oils so I don’t mind applying it generously on him. The soothing blend of lavender essential oil makes it a perfect choice for night time massage for baby as it will help him relax and sleep better.
This baby massage oil is only made with pure natural oils and hence no mineral oil in the composition. It also has a mild fragrance mix of lavender and chamomile which makes the massage time even more calming and relaxing
Mama Earth Mineral based Sunscreen SPF 20+: Mama Earth Mineral based Sunscreen SPF 20+ has a texture quite similar to the baby lotion. The formula is enriched with the goodness of Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Rice Bran Oil, Grapeseed Oil and many more natural ingredients. All of these together, mixed with natural sunscreen Zinc Oxide, make it a nice nourishing sunscreen for babies.
I didn’t get a chance to try this on my baby as in winters he rarely goes out and I want him to soak the sun as much as possible but will give it a go in summers. The sunscreen provides SPF 20+ protection and is made with only natural ingredients.
The sunscreen gets quickly into the skin leaving behind no residue or white cast but a soft satin matte finish. I guess I will be using it on me too because it feels so comfortable on skin.
Recommendation: Overall, these Mama Earth skincare products are one of the best skincare products available in India for babies. As all the products are free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oil, petroleum, synthetic fragrances or dyes. Mama Earth uses only natural and safe ingredients so the products are even safe to be used on new born babies with super delicate skin.
I absolutely adore the cute packaging of the products with a soothing color combination of green and white. I love the shampoo and soothing massage oil the most. Apart from the above mentioned products they also have Body wash, Mosquito repellent and Diaper Rash cream for babies.
Overall I am really impressed with the quality and performance of the products I tried. Also, I am happy to see a skincare brand from India coming up with these lovely products. I just wish the products have more of a subtle baby kind of fragrance rather than typical essential oils, just a personal choice! Also, they are not easily available in stores and shops but can be bought online.
PS: Try the products on yourself before trying them on your baby to be extra sure.
