Lakme True Wear Nail Color Freespirit D417 Manish Malhotra Review
Today I’m sharing a beautiful winter nail paint from ‘Lakme True wear nail color’ in shade ‘Freespirit D417 Manish Malhotra‘.
Product Claims: Long-lasting, chip resistant nail enamel. It contains resins to strengthens nails and prevents breakage. Also has colour lock technology which gives lacquer-like finish.
Price:- Rs.90 for 9ml
Shelf Life:- 36 months from the Mfg date.
My experience with Lakme True Wear Nail Color Freespirit D417 Manish Malhotra:-
#D417 Manish Malhotra is a deep warm Red with strong berry tones. It almost looks like dark wine shade but has some Maroon and hidden purple tones which adds intensity to it. The color camouflages between berry red to dark maroon depending on the light. It looks pretty bridal Maroonish-Red during day but appears darker gothic marron at night. It makes a great shade for bridal ceremonies.
The formula is smooth, slightly creamy which applies nicely with the brush. The applicator is good but this had an odd hair peeking through the rest, which exhibits manufacturing negligence :(.
The pigmentation is great as it goes almost opaque in 2 coats but the finish isn’t as smooth. I could see uneven distribution of color on the nails. The texture isn’t goopy and fairly thin but it tends to streak, and even applying the thicker coats I didn’t get that absolutely smooth coverage. However the good part is, it doesn’t bubble and pool along the edges
The staying power is impressive and it wore for 3 days on me with barely any fading. It lasted for 4-5 days with minor tip-wear which proves its chip resistant formula. I like its creamy glossy finish which lasts till I wear the nail paint.
Not so good thing about this nail paints is that it will leave you with Red nail beds post-removal. It leaves a Red stain on nails, so use them over a base coat to protect nails from staining.

Recommendation:- Lakme True Wear Nail Color Freespirit D417 Manish Malhotra makes a gorgeous bridal wear nail color. It looks fabulous in sun and make hands appear brighter. The texture of the nail paint is smooth, and it glides on the nails easily giving a rich color in single swipe and truly builds up the shade by 2 coats. The formulation and the staying power is good but it is the slightly uneven finish that doesn’t let it win the situation for me.
