Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash Review
Today, I am going to review “Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash” which I got as a free gift with my favorite “Parachute Summer Fresh Body Lotion“. It is not my regular face wash but has used this on several occasions while travelling when I had forgot to carry my face wash with me.
Product Claims: “Purifying Neem Face Wash is a soap-free herbal formulation that gently removes impurities and prevents pimples. Enriched with Neem and Turmeric.
Neem , well known for its antibacterial properties, helps in controlling acne and pimples, and their recurrence.
Further, when combined with Turmeric , it effectively eliminates acne-causing bacteria.”
Direction for Use:- Moisten face and neck, apply a small amount of purifying Neem Face Wash and gently work up a lather using a circular motion. Wash off & pat dry. Use twice daily.
Active Ingredients:- Azadirachta indica (Neem, Nimba) Curcuma longa (Turmeric, Haridra)
Price:- Rs.105 for 50ml
Shelf Life:- 2 years from the Mfg date.
Packaging:- The face wash comes in a see-through tube type packaging with a blue colored flip cap. The cap is super tight and is difficult to open. The tight ensures that the face wash doesn’t come out of the tube while travelling. See-through tube enables me to see the amount of the face wash left in the tube.
My experience with Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash:-
The face wash appears to be a gel in the tube but it has a medium consistency. It is leafy green color which adds the natural touch and marks the presence of neem in the face wash. It also has a mild herbal smell which is not exactly of neem but definitely had an flavor of neem in it. I like the natural, refreshing scent of the face wash.
The face wash spreads easily on the face and gives a rich soapy lather with only a small amount of the face-wash. It gets washed off easily and doesn’t leave any slippery or soapy feel on my face. It has effectively removed all the dirt and oil from my facial skin leaving behind clean and clear skin.
Swatch:-
All good about this face wash has been said, and now coming to the bad part of the face wash. As soon as I wipe off my face, my skin starts feeling dry and stretchy. I need to moisturise my skin heavily to counter the dryness caused by the face wash. The worst part is it causes me breakouts. I have used this face wash several times but every time it gave me bumps on my face which I hate to the core.

Pros of Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash:-
- Hygienic tube type packaging.
- Pocket friendly price
- Also available in travel friendly small tubes.

- Cleanses out all the impurities from the skin.
Cons of Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash:–
- Too drying for my dry skin, left my skin dry and stretchy
- Broke me out
- The herbal smell might not be liked by everyone.
Recommendation:- The Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash is harsh and drying for my dry skin and gave the uncomfortable stretchy feeling to me. Though it cleanses skin pretty well removing all dust and grime but breakouts are not at all acceptable.
I would not recommend this to dry and normal skin beauties. However, it can prove to be a great product for oily/acne prone skin. I didn’t buy it for personal use and will gift this to my younger brother who has super oily skin and might like this face wash. Will update this review with my brother’s experience.
