UVmed Tinted Sunscreen Gel SPF 50 Review

Hello Everyone,

I have to confess that I hoard sunscreen, just to see if they perform any better to the ones I have used in the past. I have experienced quite a few of them from various brands but none of them got a 5/5 from me on their performance and texture. Some turned out to be too sticky while some left a dreaded white cast on skin. The only repurchased sunscreen in my list isLotus Herbal 3 in 1 Matte Sunblock”  which is a tinted sunscreen with matte finish and girl if you haven’t tried it yet.. you got to have it at least once and I am sure you will fall for it.

There are not many tinted sunscreen in India that comes at affordable price and gives good sun protection so I got excited when I was sent this UVmed Tinted Sunscreen Gel SPF 50 by Ethicare Remedies.

Price: Rs 310 for 50 ml

My Experience with UVmed Tinted Sunscreen Gel SPF 50:

UVmed Tinted Sunscreen SPF50 comes in a bright yellow tube type packaging. It is a pale beige-brown colored cream with medium thick texture. It has velvety smooth feel and spreads evenly. It does have mild fragrance but it fades away within seconds of application so nothing bothersome. The formula feels hydrating to my dry skin and I can easily give moisturizer a miss in summers underneath. It is claimed to be oil-free formulation with Matt feel but frankly speaking it doesn’t feel matt at all. It has a semi-dewy finish but it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on skin.

Coming to the tinted part, I don’t feel it gives any sort of coverage to the skin but I love how smooth my skin looks and feel. It gives a silky smooth touch on application filling up all the pores something we expect from primers. On its own, it will not work for oily skin because of its hydration and dewy finish in summers but dry/normal skinned girls can make it work by setting it up with face powder. Also, if you do plan to wear a matt finish foundation, skip the primer and apply this sunscreen underneath which will give smooth surface for foundation application and sun protection will be an added benefit.

The formula is free from parabens and fragrance and all of this at just Rs 310. As the SPF factor in the sunscreen increases, they start to feel heavier on skin with sticky texture with a bonus white case but this one doesn’t gave any of this and felt quite comfortable and light on skin with no white case and sticky.

Don’t Miss to Checkout:

Overall, I am quite impressed with this sunscreen considering the quality provided at this price but the formula could have been more tinted and I miss the matt finish.

Rating:3.5/5
