Price:- Rs. 425 for 1.2 gms

Shelf Life:- 3 years from the Mfg date.

Packaging:- Maybelline The Colossal Liner Black comes in an all black plastic pen packaging, similar to other felt tip liners. The liner has a super long felt-tip which is softer and flexible than the L’Oreal Super Impact Felt Tip Liner I have used earlier.

My experience with Maybelline The Colossal Liner Black:-

Shade: Maybelline The Colossal Black Liner is dark black liquid liner with a felt-tip for application. The liner takes a few seconds to dry down but it looses a bit of its intensity during the process so one can go for reapplication to get that rich black color on lids. It dries to a creamy matte finish but it is not as matte as a Lakme Insta Liner.

Formula: Maybelline The Colossal Liner has a very thin liquidy formula, thinner than the L’Oreal Felt Tip Impact Liner which is why it takes few more seconds to settle down. The liner tends to slip and spread a bit on a creamy surface so make sure you powder your eyes after applying concealer before starting with this liner.

Application: The Colossal Liner has super fine felt tip which makes it easier to draw thin liner and provide more precision than any of the liquid liner brushes. If applied with a bit more pressure once can easily get a thicker line. The soft tip glides easily on lids and doesn’t cause any itching or scratching feel.

Staying Power: The liner sets within seconds of application but the formula is not smudge-proof and on oily lids it tends to transfer easily on the crease area. So, it could really be task to handle it on oily lids especially in summers, keep a compact or a neutral eye shadow handy to keep the area dry and matte. The formula is not water-proof but can be termed as water-resistant as it doesn’t melt when washed with water until rubbed with fingers.

Pros of Maybelline The Colossal Liner Black:-

  1. Liquid liner with flexible felt tip
  2. Easy to use
  3. Decent color payoff
  4. Precise application
  5. Dries to a creamy matte finish
  6. Affordably priced
  7. Easy to draw winged liners

Cons of Maybelline The Colossal Liner Black:-

  1. Takes a few mores seconds to dry
  2. Transfers easily on oily lids
  3. Not water-proof or smudge proof
  4. Smudges easily on lower lash line

Recommendation:- Maybelline The Colossal Liner Black is rich black liquid liner with a flexible felt tip for a precise application. The formula has a good color payoff but will need 2 swipes to show the rich black color on lids. It takes few seconds to dry down completely and set to a creamy matte finish. It doesn’t transfer and smudges easily on oily lids so have keep the eyes powdered to make it last longer. A smudge-proof and water-proof formula would have made it perfect but if you are makeup beginner and find it hard to handle liquid liners with bristles this felt tip liner could save you. Recommended!

Rating:- 3.5/5
