INGLOT Pressed Powder #15 Review

INGLOT Pressed Powder #15 Review

There are few products that last long in my vanity but the one that recently made it for more than a month is this miraculous black beauty from INGLOT. I bought this from Preetha on her blog sale and I am glad that I get to try this amazing product through her. It was also featured as Topper in the Makeup Marksheet report last month. So, lete checkout how well this INGLOT Pressed Powder #15 worked for me.

Product Claims: A sheer pressed powder with intense colour payoff thanks to the treated pigments, mica, and an excellent talc-free formula. The addition of hydrophobic compounds ensures it is unaffected by perspiration or other moisture. Longwearing and water resistant.

Ingredients:-

Price:- Rs.1200 for 8gms

Shelf Life:-  3 years from the Mfg date.

Packaging:- The powder comes in a sleek round matte black case which is secured in a cardboard box. It comes with a sponge applicator ( but I prefer to use it with a powder brush ) and a mirror inside which will be a great help for touch ups on the go. The packaging looks classy and it is sturdy and travel friendly too.

My Experience with INGLOT Pressed Powder #15:-

Texture: INGLOT Pressed Powder is very powdery.. much more than any of the compacts I have used till now. It loosens up with a single touch and starts flying all across the pan, so just be gentle while tapping brush on the powder. The powder is finely milled and extremely soft to touch. The formula is similar to a loose powder in pressed form with a satiny smooth feel.

Coverage/Pigmentation: The powder provides sheer to light coverage but pigmentation is good enough to fake an even toned skin tone and just apt for a day time look. The coverage it provides is coves minor scars and flaws. It works great as a setting powder too and can be used over the foundation for a soft matte look. Pressed powder usually looks chalky and cakey over foundation but this INGLOT pressed powder ( with Loose powder like formula) does that without such issues. It basically does everything desired from a face powder.

Staying Power: The powder mattifies my skin wonderfully without emphasizing dry areas. I have a dry skin so I usually don’t go for pressed powder but in summers I get an oily T-zone so I use this powder to control shine. It lasts for around 7-8 hours on me indoors before my T-zone start showing up signs of oil again but outdoors I need to touch up after 4-5 hours. I think it work well for oily/combi skinned girls as well.

Tip: Use the powder in moderation and tap-off the excess from the brush during application. The powder can be layered for more coverage but don’t apply too much in single go.

Pros of INGLOT Pressed Powder #15:-

  1. Silky soft texture
  2. Provides a natural matte look to the skin
  3. Doesn’t look chalky
  4. Holds foundation pretty well
  5. Keeps shine at bay for 7-8 hours on me
  6. Provides sheer/light coverage
  7. The powder is going to last me long
  8. No breakouts
  9. Value for money
  10. Classy black packaging with a mirror and sponge applicator
  11. Paraben free formula
  12. Available in 18-19 shades, so you can find your perfect match

Cons of INGLOT Pressed Powder #15:-

  1. Extremely soft texture which starts flying around the pan
  2. Pricey
  3. Oily skinned girls might need frequent re-application for effective oil control

Recommendation:- INGLOT Pressed Powder #15 is a savior for dry skinned girls to control shine without looking chalky or dusted with a face powder. It gives a decent coverage on it own and can be used to set foundations. It has satin smooth formula which glides on nicely giving a natural matte look to the skin. It is expensive for a powder but the quality of the product great. The shade blends seamlessly with my skin tone which makes it the perfect powder for me. Even though it is pressed powder, I only need a small amount to covers full face. It makes a great compact for dry skinned girls, my latest Love.. Highly recommended!

Rating:- 4.5/5
