Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation – Beige Review, Swatches, Demo

Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation – Beige

Faces has added some more products to their Ultime Pro Collection and I got my hands on this luxurious looking foundation, Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation. At first glance I thought it is DiorSkin Nude Air Serum Foundation but it can be dupe, will see. To start with I have a dry skin and I very choosy with foundations and always prefer light weight foundation which are easy to blend. So, let’s see if this Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation lives upto its claims and its gorgeous packaging.

Video Review + Application Demo:

Packaging: Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation come in luxurious frosted glass bottle with a dropper dispenser. The bottle is housed in an all black box with cushions inside to keep the bottle safe. I quite like the packaging of the foundation and the dropper goes with the Serum theme of the foundation but it can be a little cumbersome to use as it slips while pressing, may be a grip on the dropper would have helped. But otherwise the packaging looks high-end, quite close to being a dupe of DiorSkin Nude Air Serum Foundation. The glass bottle isn’t travel friendly so don’t take your chances.

My Experience with Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation Beige:

Shade: I got this Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation in the shade beige, which I feel is the closest match to my NC40 skintone with warm undertones. This is going to be the shade for majority of the Indian skintones as Natural can be a little ashy and Ivory is for the peachy creamy complexions. However, if you are around NC 45 or above I will suggest go for Sand as it the darkest shade in the range with warm yellow undertones.

Texture: As described the foundation has a medium – thin, slightly runny texture, just like a serum. It feels velvets smooth and glides on beautifully onto the skin.

Formula: The formula blends in quickly into the skin and it is like one of those foundations that I can easily blend with “Hands only” too., just like MAC face and Body. I really like how effortlessly it blended to gives that smooth, even coverage to my skin. The formula is pretty pigmented so I just need 3-4 drops to cover my entire face.

Coverage: The foundation gives a light-medium coverage to my skin. The coverage can be built a little more with layering but it works best with a single layer as it can start creasing if layered. I am not into thick, high coverage foundation and I absolutely love the way this foundations conceals all the flaws giving an almost flawless finish to my skin. It works well at blurring the pores and covering the redness around the nose.

Finish: The foundation sets to a dry matte finish within few seconds so it’s best to moisturize the skin before application because the foundation may cling to dry patches. The foundation will work for both Oily and dry skin if prepped well. It is claimed to be a second skin foundation and I can say that it feels pretty much the same way. The light weight formula doesn’t feel like I have applied anything on my face and it gives a pretty natural looking finish.

Longevity: The foundation formula is pretty long lasting and easily lasts for 6-7 hours without fading or creasing. However, Oily skinned beauties need to set it with powder for a long lasting finish.

I love that this foundation has a little bit of sunscreen protection SPF 15 too. And has a faint but delicious warm buttery scent to make the foundation application even more pleasant. On the plus side, the formula is paraben-free too.

Recommendation: Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation is a dupe of High end serum foundation Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation with a similar packaging and may be a similar formula. The foundation has a light-weight texture, which blends in beautifully giving a smooth, satin finish to the skin and it never looks cakey. It gives light-medium coverage with natural looking finish, making it suitable for daily wear and even special occasions. It gets blended even with fingers and sets to a velvet matte finish, so dry skin moisturize in advance. I just wish brand introduce more shades in this range. I really love this foundation. Recommended!

PS: The swatches are of Sand and Beige shade.
