I have been quite late to try these Maybelline Colorshow nail paints and they already have been all over the blogosphere but its better late than never as these cuties finally made their way into my stash. I have loved the Maybelline Glitter Mania Nail Paints with super saturated shimmers but today I will be sharing pretty creamy finish nail paint from the Maybelline Color Show Collection, Maybelline Color Show Blackcurrant Pop Nail Paint.

Direction for Use: With one sweep, paint the first line of nail polish up the centre of your nail starting from the base to the tip. For the cleanest look, be sure to leave a small space at the base of the nail. Then apply color to the rest of the nail.

Packaging:- Maybelline Color Show Nail Paints comes in a cute round glass packaging. The brush is nice and spread out easily giving an even application.

My experience with Maybelline Color Show Nail Paint Blackcurrant Pop :-

Shade: Blackcurrant Pop is a pastel lilac shade which isn’t too light, so as to make my hands look darker like most of the pastels. The shade has stunned me with its beauty and I can see myself painting my claws more frequently with it in summers.

Formula: The formula is medium thick which gives an even application. The shade is decently pigmented which goes sheer in single swipe but with a thicker 2^nd coat it achieve opacity and I don’t have to layer it to get the desired color coverage.

Application: The brush picks up good amount and gives an easy application. It applies best with a thin 1^st coat and a thicker 2^nd coat. The application is mostly even and smooth but if you keep trying with thin coats you may notice streaks.

Dry Time: The nail polish dry within second of application, with thin coats, Though with thick coats it takes a little longer but not more than 1-2 minutes and you can move around with impression free nails. 😉

Finish: The nail polish dries to a crème glossy finish which is one of my favorite finishes and the shine doesn’t fade away easily and lasts 2-3 days

Staying Power: The formula is pretty long lasting and I can wear these easily for 3-4 days with minimum fading. The nail polish doesn’t chip or peel off.

Recommendation:- Maybelline Color Show Nail Paint Blackcurrant Pop is a lovely soft pastel purple /lilac shade in a crème glossy finish. The polish applies smoothly and gives an even application. It shows a bit sheer in a single stroke but with 2 it builds to an almost opaque finish and gives a smoother and richer application. It dries super fast and easily lasts for 3-4 days without any chipping or fading. I am highly impressed with the quality provided at a dirt cheap price. I have added few more shades from the range but just can’t stop drooling over the ones I don’t have… Want them all 😛 Highly Recommended!
