Just few days back I shared a list of Best Colored Eye Liners in India and just when I finalized my list of “New liner to be bought” these L’Oreal Silkissime Eye liners made a Dhamkedaar entry in India and I got blinded by their glam. Without a second thought I grabbed them along with some other New Makeup Launches from L’Oreal Paris. So, lets see if I love it as much as I expected, L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in Plum Prune

How to use: Apply along the top and bottom lash line beginning in the inner corner of the eye and working outward. To sharpen, use L’Oréal’s Dual Sharpener and turn the pencil gently to create a working tip.

Packaging: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner comes in a sharpenable pencil packaging with a clear cap. The outer body carries the color of the liner so its easy to identify the shade of liner. The details are engraved in gold over the pencil and also I love the Golden band towards the top. Overall, a pretty good looking packaging but you need a sharpener with it

My experience with L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner Plum Prune:

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner Plum Prune is the first shade that I got from Habbana.com from the collection but I see many more coming to me :D.

Shade: Plum Prune which I thought is going to be a blackened purple kinda shade but it is actually a dark violet blue shade with a satin finish. The color looks gorgeous on eyes and any one can pull it off with ease as it not a bright shade. Break the monotony of black and browns and bring in some colors to your eyes with these Silkissime Eye Liners.

Texture: The liner absolutely feels like silk on eyes. It has a smooth, creamy texture which glides on like butter on lids. Its like I just barely touched it and the liner start showing its magic. I don’t need to apply even the tiniest amount of pressure. But the liner gets used up pretty fast and I have to sharpen it while creating this look twice. So, at max it will give one application before sharpening.

Pigmentation: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliners have amazing pigmentation. They look intense and almost opaque in a single swipe. They are definitely one of the most pigmented liner I have tried. No need to build up to get the true color.

Longevity: The formula is creamy but it quickly sets to a smudge proof finish, so if you would like to smoke it out do it fast. I have tested it for almost 10 hours and it didn’t move, just a little bit of smudging on lower lash line. I will suggest powder your eyes if you have very oily lids as it will help the liner stay intact. It comes off easily with a creamy cleanser so I don’t have worry about its removal.

Recommendation: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner Plum Prune is a beautiful dark violet shade with long-wearing, smudge-proof formula and feels like silk on eyes. The liner is extremely pigmented and once set it lasts for 8-10 hours without any fading or smudging though on oily lids it may transfer so set your eyes with powder before application. It doesn’t show up as intense on waterline and also fades sooner but it is gorgeous as an eye liner. I really love the range of colors in this L’Oreal Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner collection and I have Highlighter, True Teal, Gold in my wishlist :D. If you are look for good colored eye pencils which looks fresh even after 8 hours of wear do give these a try. Highly Recommended!
