Why Real Techniques Core Collection is a Must Have!

Hello Everyone,

I haven’t been spending much on makeup for last few months as I do own quite a load of it (for some time.. you know!!) but I can’t say no to good quality brushes especially if they are affordable. And when I planned to but some makeup for me these come to my mind “Real Technique brushes”. I might be the last one to get my hands on these but I was missing them in my makeup collection and now I am more than happy to grab some of these awesome brushes from Real Techniques Core Collection

Real Techniques Core Collection Review

Price: Rs 1390 on Amazon.in ( I bought it from Luxola.com)

What I Like or Dislike in Real Techniques Core Collection Brushes:

Real Techniques Core Collection Brushes comes in a see through packaging like all other Real Technique brushes but what I liked is that this core collection is packed in a black case which doubles up as a stand. All the brushes fits nicely and the case makes it easy to travel with. ( Brownie points for the case!)

Real Techniques Core Collection Brush set

The Real Techniques Core Collection contains 4 brushes with the signature long copper metallic ferrule and a rubbery matte handle for a solid grip. The brushes are quite light – much lighter than my Sigma Brushes and are quite comfortable to use. The bristles are all synthetic so indeed they are quite soft and don’t feel harsh against my skin.

The brushes are well made and I haven’t noticed any shedding or flaring of the bristles as of yet.

Don’t Miss to Checkout:

Real Techniques Core Collection Brushes:

Buffing Brush: It has a slight dome shape and loosely packed bristles which makes it a versatile brush. It works wonderfully for blending in the foundation or BB creams (I use it with liquid formulas) on those no Makeup –makeup days. The brush is also perfect for setting the foundation with a loose powder without applying too much of it.. thanks to its fluffy shape. If you have almost clear skin and use liquid or powder base to even it out, this brush can do it all for you!Real Techniques Core Collection - Buffing BrushReal Techniques Core Collection - Buffing Brush review

Detailer Brush: It is the smallest brush of the batch and has a tapered pointed tip. It can be termed as a tiny version of the foundation brush. It works great as lip brush, applying highlighter to the small areas like inner eye corners or even for spot concealing for that precise applicationReal Techniques Core Collection - Detailer BrushReal Techniques Core Collection - Detailer Brush ReviewReal Techniques Core Collection - Detailer Brush head

Pointed foundation Brush: It is a flat foundation brush with tapered bristles but I feel the size is quite small for a face foundation brush. The brush is quite thin and doesn’t pick a lot of product so can be used for applying foundation/concealer to smaller areas like the sides of nose and mouth or placing highlighter on the bridge of nose. If you have severe dark circles use it to apply corrector on the under eye area and then blending it with concealer using another brush because it does give streaky finish. If this brush in the kit has been replaced with something else, I would have given it a 5 as this is my least favorite brush.

Contour Brush: This Contour brush is the one that made me buy this whole kit and is my favorite brush out of all. It has a tapered round head with a pointed tip to place the creamy contour right in the hollow of the cheeks and then blend it precisely without getting the color all over. It works equally well with powder and liquid products. The size makes it apt for applying highlighter on cheekbones and the forehead. I love this bruusshh!!

Recommendation:Real Techniques Core Collection kit is a fabulous kit for makeup beginners who don’t want to spend a bomb on brushes but can’t trade off with the quality. It is almost complete for doing full face makeup (as you might need some smaller brushes for contouring nose and highlighting). The brushes can be used in more than one way making it quite versatile. Total value for money.. Go for it! Highly recommended!

I am so excited to see this post! My RT brush collection arrived last week and I have just started using them.
Glad to see thay you agree thay the pointed foundation brush is too small! It’s sooo tiny.
Never thought of using the buffing brush with liquid foundation /BB cream as I thought it was only meant for powder. Will try it out now 🙂
