Ingredients:-

Price:- 2.48$ for 11.8ml

Packaging:- Sally Hansen nail paints comes in long cylinderical bottle with a metal finished gray applicator handle. The name of the shades is pasted on the top the cap which makes them easy to pick from the stash. The brush is decently packed and flat shaped bristles. The long neck of the bottle makes it easy to get rid of the excess color from the brush.

My experience with Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color Gunmetal:-

Gunmetal is dark gray nail paint with blue undertones and pearly silver metallic finish. A plain black or gray nail polish would be too flat or monotonous but the metallic touch in it makes it prettier.

The formula is much thinner and runnier compared to the other nail paints from the same range. The runny consistency of the nail paint reminded me of Maybelline Coloroma Nail Paints.

I am rather slightly disappointed with its pigmentation as it isn’t as good as the rest of the shades. The nail paint goes mostly sheer with considerable streaking in a single swipe. The application smoothens a bit on second coat with better coverage and slightly less streaking but the natural nail color could still be seen from most of the places. I need to limit the number of brush strokes as more the number of times I swipe the brush more is the streaking and lines developing in the application. The other way is to let the first coat dry completely before applying the second one which will result in better coverage and less streaky finish.

NOTD-

Unlike other nail paints, it takes a little longer to dry but finish is the same glossy and crème. It lasts 4-5 days on me with negligible tip-wear.

Pros of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color Gunmetal:-

  1. Beautiful pearly metallic finish
  2. Lasts long on me
  3. Glossy finish
  4. Pocket-friendly price
  5. No chip formula
  6. Nice packaging and brush

Cons of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color Gunmetal:-

  1. Formula is a bit runny
  2. Require at least 3 coats for full coverage
  3. Takes little longer to dry

Recommendation:- Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Gunmetal has a brilliant polished finish which I would prefer this over flat black nail paints. The formula is quite thin and you need to patiently apply 3 coats of this nail paint for full coverage but it has a remarkable staying power. Overall if you like metallic finish nail paints, it can be given a try.

Rating:- 3.5/5
