Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner Scarlet Pink Review
I love the way lip liners give definition to the lips and protect any creamy lipstick from smearing but I have not really been using any lip liner since ages. So to break the monotony of lipsticks on the blog, today I have a lip liner to share with you Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner Scarlet Pink.
Product Claims: Revlon ColorStay Lipliner provides longwearing definition, helps lipcolor last longer and prevents feathering and bleeding.
- Hours of rich definition
- Extends lip color wear
- Comes with built-in sharpener
Price:- Rs.575 for .25 gms
Shelf Life:- 30 months from the Mfg date.
Packaging:- Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner comes in a slim, twist-up mechanical pencil type packaging. The pencil is all black with details engraved in gold and a color band at the bottom of the pencil. A color coded body would have made it easier to identify the shade but as I have only one from the range it is not an issue.
My experience with Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner Scarlet Pink:-
Shade: Scarlet Pink is a medium rosey pink lip liner with subtle red and plum undertones. It would look pinker on fairer skin and a deep rosey plum on medium- dark complexion. It a pink shade that works for all skin tones. Scarlet Pink will work great as a base for any of the pink, pinkish red or even plum lipsticks.
Texture: Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner has a creamy texture, not buttery smooth but it has enough creaminess to glide across lips without any major tugging or pulling. The liner has a thin tip which makes it is easy to define lips.
Pigmentation: The lip liner has a rich color pay off and in just swipes it gives good enough color to the lips. When used as a lip filler I have to swipe it 2-3 times for an opaque coverage but for defining lip it works with a single stroke.
Staying Power: The liner hangs on to the lips really well and it lasts easily for 6-7 hours without major fading. The formula isn’t moisturizing to the lips but it isn’t drying either unlike most of the long lasting lip liners but if you have super dry lip either start a light lip balm underneath or top it up with a moisturizing gloss for a comfortable feel. The liner doesn’t feather, bleed or smudge for the whole time it is on lips
