L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-blendable Concealer – Light/Medium Review

Hello, Today I am reviewing the L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-blendable Concealer in Light/Medium, my first base product from L’Oreal.

L'Oreal True Match Super-blendable Concealer Light-Medium

Packaging:- The concealer comes in a round see-through tube type packaging with a silver cap. The packaging reminds me of the Maybelline water-shine lip glosses.

L'Oreal Super-blendable Concealer Light-Medium

Available in 3 shades

  2. Neutral – Light/Medium N4-5
  3. Neutral – Medium/Deep N6-7-8

My experience with L’Oreal True Match Super-blendable Concealer Light/Medium:-

L'Oreal Paris True Match Super-blendable Concealer

L’Oreal True Match Super-blendable Concealer is a concealer in liquid form with medium-thin texture which isn’t runny and gives a hassle-free application. I dab it and swipe the brush on my under eye area and then work it out with finger tips. The texture is medium –creamy which glides nicely and the light-weight formula blends super-quickly into the skin. It matches my skin tone perfectly and never looks ashy or turns grey giving an illusion of even deeper dark under-eyes, the problem I faced with my  Garnier Tinted Under-eye Roll on. The amount can be easily controlled with the brush applicator but even if applied excessively it doesn’t look overboard and can be blended a bit more till it disappear into the skin.

The concealer sets to comfortable matte finish and as I have dry lids so don’t feel the need to set it with powder but super-oily lids can go head and set it with a powder. It doesn’t provide full-coverage but I don’t have deep dark circles and it works nicely for my medium dark under eye area providing light-medium coverage which I prefer for everyday look. I like the natural finish it provides, giving a brightened under-eye look instantly.

The concealer stays put whole day for me and I haven’t experienced any creasing even for 6-7 hours but by the end of the day it starts setting in fine lines but still doesn’t look that bad. I usually don’t go out but sit in office under AC 9 to 5 ;), so can’t comment on its outdoor performance.

Other than under-eyes, I tested it for concealing facial area like acne makes, uneven skin tone and I am so glad to say that it did a fabulous job at that front too. It works well at hiding the uneven skin tone, reducing redness and makes the pores nearly vanish giving a silky smooth, younger looking skin ;). My pores aren’t too large but yes it covered whatever I have.

Don’t Miss to Checkout:

Pros of L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer:-

  1. Medium thin texture
  2. Light-weight formula
  3. Blends super-quickly
  4. Light-Medium coverage for under eye area
  5. Cover up redness and acne marks quite well too
  6. Gives a smooth, matte finish
  7. Doesn’t look cakey at all
  8. Last 6-7 hours easily on my dry skin
  9. Simple but convenient packaging
  10. Available in 3 shades to choose from

Cons of L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer:-

  1. Bit expensive
  2. Doesn’t provide full coverage
  3. Start setting into crease lines after 7 hours

Recommendation:- L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer in Light/Medium is priced on the higher side but seeing the results I would say its totally worth it. The brush applicator is easy to use and the shade is a pretty good match for me. It blends really well into my skin covering up the dark under eye skin (not completely though). I also tested it on acne marks, redness around nose, open pores and it worked wonderfully on all of these giving a super-smooth, even toned skin. The formula just sinks into the skin covering the problematic areas. It sets to a comfortable matte finish so dry skin should moisturize the area before hand for an effortless blending, Oily skin will need to set it with a powder.

If you are usually worried about concealer getting cakey then give this a shot, it doesn’t know anything about that. A great daily wear concealer, Recommended!

As Soon As My Current Ones Get Finish, ‘ll Try This! Seems Really Good!

My Fav are Kryolan Derma Range, MAC Pro Long Wear Concealer n PONDS BB Cream as an Eye Concealer Works Gr8 For Me.. It Creases Very Minimally After Some 7-8 Hours!

    • poonamSeptember 13, 2013 at 10:40 AM - Reply

I am planning a visit to Krylon store pretty soon!! 🙂 :)All set to try its base makeup stuff!!
BTW .. is the Derma range suitable for dry skin??

MAC prolong wear seems to be everybidys fav I gotta get it !! 😉
BB cream as a conclear that’s great .. I tried Maybelline one but it didnt worked!!

I like this one a lott .. u should give this a shot.. and you can come up with comparison between these!! 🙂

      • HeenaSeptember 13, 2013 at 11:38 AM - Reply

        Hehe.. Yes!

Derma Range For Dry Skin.. I Think No! Even On My Oily Acne Skin, I Do Quite a Work To Blend it Seamlessly! But You Should Try It At The Store.. Even I Have To Visit Kryolan Store But It’s a 2 Hour Drive From My Home 🙁 Maybe I’ll Visit It After My Exams, Which Finish Next Week!

I Won’t Advice You To Go For MAC Prolong Wear Concealer.. It’s Pump Is Horrible!! Wastage of Product! At Rs.1300, Packaging Should Be Improved!

I Think You Should First Try Base Makeup At Kryolan Only, And, Then See For Options At MAC.. Kryolan Is Really Under Estimated :-s

        • poonamSeptember 13, 2013 at 2:23 PM - Reply

Thansk for the Recoo Heena.. I will check out them out at teh store before purchasing..
Yes Krylon is almost 2 hours from my place too.. wish they were more easily available.!!
Ohh ur exams going on.. All teh besst!! do weelll .. 😀 😀

Ahh.. sachhii.. yes we deserve better packaging!! I am keeping away from MAC and trying the rest available before spending my hard-earned money there!! 😉 😛 😛

Yes, Krylon is better priced and have some amazing products its just the availability that keeps me away!! 😉 🙂

          • HeenaSeptember 13, 2013 at 10:36 PM - Reply

Exactly! I Want To Keep High End Brands As My Last Option!

Oh! Where Do you Put Up, Btw?

            Thanku!:)

            • poonamSeptember 16, 2013 at 2:08 PM - Reply

*Same pinch* .. I just think I get used to high ends.. I am gonna come back to drug storess!!
so just test all teh drugstores before moving on to High-end and I will love the transition even more!! 🙂 🙂
