Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Review

Hello,

I know enough has been said about this eye liner cum Kajal but I would like to share my view-point too. So, today I am going to review Lakme Eyeconic Kajal.

Lakme Eyeconic Kajal EOTD

Product Claims: The new Eyeconic Kajal by Lakme is literally iconic as all you need is one sweep of kajal and it lasts for 10 hours. The product is waterproof, it does not smudge and it is even safe for the eyes since it is dermatologist tested.

My experience with Lakme Eyeconic Kajal:-

Lakme Eyeconic isn’t a rich black kajal but kind of soft black leaning towards gray. The formula is pigmented but I need to build it up to my desired intensity which requires 2-3 swipes of the liner.

Maybelline Colossal didn’t show up well on waterline but this one goes on nicely. Bourjois Kohl and Contour Eye Pencil- Noir Expert which is the blacked black liner, smooth, creamy but has a drawback that it smudges quite easily.

It has a smooth and creamy texture which goes fairly smooth and evenly on lids but isn’t ultra smooth and has a slight sticky feel which can be felt when touched with fingers and try to smudge the liner.

The Kajal claims to be smudge-proof and the stickiness contributes a lot towards keeping the liner in place whole day. I used it on my waterline and lower lash liner and it stayed pretty much intact with barely any fading and slight smudging by the end of the day.

Pros of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal:-

  1. Goes on fairly smoothly
  2. Well pigmented but requires color to be built up
  3. Smudges very little
  4. Lasts whole day
  5. Stays well on my lower lash line as well
  6. Claims to be Water-proof but I would say its water-resistant
  7. Dermatologically tested
  8. Twist up pencil packaging

Cons of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal:-

  1. Not an intense dark black kajal
  2. Has slightly sticky texture
  3. Finish up soon

Recommendation:- Lakme Eyeconic Kajal is a medium blackish gray colored eye pencil which comes in a convenient to use twist up packaging. The formula goes on nicely on lids as well as waterline but requires layering 2-3 times to get a dark intense look. It smudge resistant and stay pretty much whole day with barely any fading. The formula is way better than those Jumbo Eye pencil (kohl’s) from lakme but wish it had been a little darker. If you are looking for a smudge-resistant Kajal, you can give it a shot.

Kya karen? Kohl ultimate needs to be sharpened..so aur waste hota hai. Besides in the morning when I’m getting late for college, who wants a new headache of looking for the sharpener?! 😛

Ditto Poonam.. I quite like this kohl and the grey color is perfect for anytime wear. Also I love that you can adjus the intensity accordingly: you can draw a thin line or a thickish like yours easily. 🙂
