Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner – Blackest Black Review

Today I will be reviewing my first felt tip eye liner, the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner in Blackest Black.

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Liner Blackest Black

Shade available –

  1. Blackest Black
  2. Black Brown

My experience with Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner – Blackest Black:-

Blackest Black is a deep black liquid liner but it dries to a slightly lighter shade of black. I drew thin lines at first but I end up with thick eye liner as I need to swipe it 2-3 times to get the desired color. I don’t mind thick lines rather I prefer thick eye liner but if you like thin lines then you have to precisely move the tip over the same area so as to darken the line without increasing its size.

The good thing is it dries super fast and settles to an almost black matte finish within seconds of application. The formula is runny but gives a smooth and easy application as the felt tip glides on smoothly over the lids and doesn’t hurt the delicate eye area during application. Though, sometimes the tip picks up too much of liquid which makes it difficult to draw thin lines so get rid of excess amount before application. The liner doesn’t smudge once set but over time it gets transferred to upper lid area on oily lids.

Pros of Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner – Blackest Black:-

  1. Smooth Application
  2. Good color-payoff
  3. Dries quickly
  4. Matte black finish
  5. Doesn’t flake
  6. Staying power is good on dry skin
  7. Decently priced

Cons of Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner – Blackest Black :-

  1. Not water-proof
  2. Transfers on Oily lids

Recommendation:- Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner – Blackest Black is a medium-black eye liner in matte-finish. The formula dries quickly but looses some of it pigmentation during the process so you’ll need to reapply for desired color payoff. The liner doesn’t smudges on its own but it will start transferring on oily lids overtime. The felt tip gives a smooth application but I find it difficult to create thin lines with it.

Hi girls 🙂 I wanted so badly to try this eyeliner but I’ve seen in many reviews that it transfer horrible, and I’ve got oily lids; I once tried Almay liquid liner and it seems it’s much better than this revlon one, because the color is even more matte and black and It does not transfer at all..(only if you cry out really hard). Thanks for this review 🙂 you saved me from a badly liquid liner 😉

I have tried the Colorstay eye-liner pencil and I loved it so much. Haven’t laid my hands on this product but would try it soon as it seems to be a nice product. The colour pay-off seems to be amazing. Loved your review 🙂
