Today I am reviewing my all time-favorite Body Lotion from Bath and Body Works, the Bath And Body Works Body Lotion in Japanese Cherry Blossom.

Packaging:- The body lotion comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a metallic finish cap. It has a press-to-open kind’s cap but it can also be unscrewed to reach the mouth of the bottle. There are engraved lines on the sides of the bottle which provides nice grip, hence no accidental slipping during application

My experience with Bath And Body Works Body Lotion – Japanese Cherry Blossom:-

Japanese Cherry Blossom is a white colored lotion with a captivating floral fragrance. Unlike most of the lotions which have a hint of sweetness beside floral notes this is an all in all floral fragrance. Fragrance is rich, sophisticated and is definitely not the usual floral scent, it has exoticness in its nature which makes it so appealing. The fragrance is intense but not nauseating at all. It also lingers on for few hours post-application without any change in its notes (fragrance) which makes me love it even more.

Coming to its formula, consistency of the lotion is neither thick nor too runny but just right to smooth on nicely all over the body. The formula is enriched with the goodness of glycerin, shea butter and jojoba oil which nourishes skin in a natural way. It is a non-greasy body lotion and gets absorbed into the skin easily without leave any shiny layer behind. The light texture of the lotion makes it suitable for summers too.

Recommendation:- Bath And Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Lotion has an appealing fresh and sophisticated floral fragrance which stays for 2-3 hours easily on me. The fragrance is intense enough to be noticed form a distance but not overpowering or the one’s which cause headaches. The texture and formula is as good as any of the other body lotions from BBW with natural moisturizers. I never loved a body lotion so much as I love this one. I am addicted to this body lotion and wouldn’t like to finish it until I have its backup. It has become a staple in my bod lotions stock. Highly Recommended!

Inglot Freedom System Eye Shadow 58 AMC Review

Today I will be reviewing an attractivshimmery  green eye shadow from my Inglot Freedom System Eye shadows collection 58 AMC.

Ingredients:-

Price:- Rs.300 for 2.7 gms

Shelf Life:- 3 years from the Mfg date.

Packaging:- The eye shadow comes in a simple black box packaging and is sealed in a plastic cover which protects the powder from any sort of damage, The box mentions details related to the shade like name, finish and manufacturing dates at the bottom and also contains a paper mentioning the list of ingredients. The metallic pan holding the eye shadow also has shade name engraved at its bottom.

I used to pierce the back of the plastic case holding the pan but actually the thin plastic sheet at its base can be peeled off as it is only pasted over the plastic box. So, until you buy a pan, you can use this sturdy plastic box for storage.

My experience with Inglot Freedom System Eye Shadow 58 AMC:-

58 AMC is medium-bright grassy green shade with subtle yellow undertones and micro golden shimmers for soft shimmery look. The finish is some where between pearls and shimmers as the gold flecks scatters on application giving just a hint of shimmers on lids. These fine golden specks make this eye shadow very appealing and attractive.

The texture is on the similar lines of other Inglot eye shadows very soft and smooth but the color payoff isn’t as great as others and I have seen better pigmented shades from Inglot. Though it isn’t bad either but could have been better as it goes sheers when applied on lids. I find pearl and matte finishes better pigmented than AMC ones. There is a slight fall out during application so use it with soft brush strokes.

It wears well for 3 hours without a primer but creases and starts fading after that on my oily lids. So, to make the eye shadow last long must wear a primer beneath.

Recommendation:- Inglot Freedom System Eye Shadow #58 AMC is a pretty grass green shade with fine gold specks. The texture is as usual soft and smooth which gets applied easily and blends nicely. The color pay off is decent but shows up better with a primer underneath which also enhance it’s staying and makes it last long without any significant creasing and fading. I love greens and If you also love greens than do give this eye shadow a try.

NYX HD High Definition Eye Shadow Base – ESB 04 Review

Today I am reviewing an eye shadow base the NYX High Definition Eye Shadow Base.

Product Claims: Prep your eyelids with this lightweight eye makeup primer that makes skin appear smoother, more even toned, and ensures lasting makeup application. The High Definition Eye Shadow Base conceals creases and pumps up the vibrancy of your eye shadow.

Ingredients:- Isododecane, Talc, Beeswax, Dimethicone, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Cyclopentasiloxane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Propylene Carbonate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Phenoxyethanol, Phenoxyethanol/Methylparaben, Ethylparaben/Butylparaben, Propylparaben/Isobutylparaben, Colorant, Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Iron Oxide Yellow (CI77492), Iron Oxide Black (CI77499), Iron Oxide Red (CI77491).

Shelf Life:-  18 months after opening

Packaging:- The eye shadow base comes in a packaging similar to lip glosses with a difference that it is completely opaque. The black plastic tube has the product details printed on it. It comes with a doe-foot applicator which makes it very convenient to use.

I loved the ease of application with this packaging as I needn’t carry a separate brush or dip my fingers in to the product unlike NYX Eye Shadow Base (Review Here).

My experience with NYX HD High Definition Eye Shadow Base:-

NYX HD Eye Shadow Base is light beige colored creamy liquid with an extremely thin consistency. The texture isn’t runny but similar to buttery liquid which just melts into the skin when blended. The formula smoothens on skin just like silk and goes absolutely colorless on blending. I need very little amount of the eye shadow base, just few dots all over the lid with the applicator and then blend it out with fingers. It has slightly wet/slippery finish (something like a primer) which may take a little while (5 seconds) to dry and set but if applied judiciously with few (4-5) dots over the lid, I don’t have to wait for it to dry.

It makes a great base and prepares the lid for the eye shadow application. Being colorless, it doesn’t alter the shade of the eye shadow at all rather make the color look vibrant.

When I apply the eye shadow directly on my oily lids, it starts creasing within 2 hours of application and fades drastically by 4-5 hours especially INGLOT Freedom system ones but this base made them last whole day. The eye makeup stays fresh and vibrant even after 8 hours of application. The eye shadow refuses to budge, no creasing at all and fading what’s that!!!

Here,  I used it under the INGLOT Freedom System Eye Shadow #58 and I see the visible difference in intensity and finish.

Recommendation:- NYX HD High Definition Eye Shadow Base is beige colored thin cream which goes transparent on blending. It feels slightly slippery at first but sets really quick and provides you with a perfect base for eye makeup. It makes the eye shadows appear bright and intense without playing around with their color and make them last long really long. The eye shadows which start creasing by 2 hours, now remained crease-free, without any signs of fading for 8-10 hours easily. It is an awesome eye shadow base and definitely gives high definition to the eye makeup. Considering its results I am sure it can beat or at least at par with most of the high end primers. Super happy with its performance. Highly Recommended!

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm Mango Pie Review

We all love tinted lip balms but it is inevitable to stay without a colorless lip balm which serves the basic purpose of moisturizing the lips. So, today I am going to review a colorless lip balm, Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Mango Pie.

Packaging:- The balm comes in an easy to use rotate up and down stick –type packaging which is my favorite in lip balms. I totally hate the ones that come in tubs where I have to dig fingers for each application and half of the amount gets stuck in nails.eeww…!! The gorgeous combination of pink and yellow give an appealing girly touch to the lip balm which makes me crave for it even more.

My experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm Mango Pie:-

Mango Pie is a colorless lip balm from Maybelline with yummy mango fragrance which tickles my fruity bone. . The fragrance isn’t overpowering and is on the milder side but is tempting enough can make you gorge on mangoes. It has a smooth buttery texture which glides on lips effortlessly. The formula is much better than the Nivea one’s which melts on lips and feels wax but Maybelline one moisturizes lips nicely without feeling heavy on lips. It swipes so easily and gives happily moisturized lips instantly.

If you have super dry lips than swipe it just once before the lipstick application for a smooth gliding finish. Also, it can be used as a top coat to relieve lips from the drying texture of you matte lipstick, without altering the shade of the lipstick at all. It can also be used to repair and fix chapped lips, use it overnight and wake up with smooth and soft lips.

The only other colorless lip balm in this range is Anti-Oxidant berry (Review Here) which has similar texture but is deprived of fruity smell and doesn’t look as pretty as Mango Pie. Cherry on the cake is its SPF protection; it comes with SPF 20 which protects delicate lip skin from harmful UV rays to some extent.

Recommendation:- Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Mango Pie has super smooth texture and feels feathery soft on lips. It moisturizes lips well making them soft and supple without making them greasy or waxy. The yummy mango fragrance and the SPF20 are some additional benefits that make you like this lip balm even more. I thoroughly enjoyed the texture, fragrance, packaging, and ease of use of this lip balm. Highly Recommended!

Organix Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner Review

Today, I am reviewing Organix Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner. Its shampoo has already been reviewed here.

Product Claims: Organix Brazilian Kertain Therapy Conditioner blends antioxidant rich coconut oil with kertain proteins to strengthen your hair and give it a frizz-free look. The mix of avacodo oil and coconut butter will soften the cuticle. The conditioner is rich in sulfate and free of sodium chloride to strengthen and smooth curly or wavy hair.

Ingredients:-

Price:- $6.50 for 385ml

Packaging:- The conditioner comes in an opaque peachy brown colored plastic bottle with a dark brown colored flip top cap. I like the round curvy shape packaging but the bulky broad shape of the bottle makes it travel unfriendly.

My experience with Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner:-

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner is a light dusty beige-brown colored cream. It has thin consistency but smooth buttery texture which melts between palms and gets applied easily over the hair strands. It has strong sweet coconut fragrance but not in an overwhelming way. Also, the fragrance faints and turns milder on application which wears off post hair wash.

The conditioner doesn’t feel heavy in fact it is quite light and gets absorbed quickly. It is enriched with natural conditioner like glycerin, cocoa butter, avocado oil among other which nourishes hair and restores natural shine. It leaves hair feathery soft not silky smooth though but I love the shine and volume it adds to my hair. Unlike, regular conditioners where volume disappears the next day, it keeps hair bouncy and they don’t look weighed down even by the end of third day…( that’s Impressive).

The best thing is even if used excessively or more than the required amount it never made my hair greasy/oily. It smoothen the frizz and dryness caused by the shampoo giving smooth detangled hair. It adds the much needed bounce to my hair and unlike other conditioner the volume is here to stay. It keeps the volume longer than any of the conditioner which normally tends to make my scalp oily by next day.

I use it with Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo and it gives me soft nourished hair with a healthy bounce and shine. I am liking this combination.

Cons of Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner:-

1. Doesn’t give that Straight effect as claimed
2. Contains Silicones
3. Isn’t extremely moisturizing so might not suit dry hair.

Recommendation:- Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner works really well for my oily scalp and thick hair texture. It adds shine and makes hair soft to touch and with regular use I can see a visible improvement in my hair texture. The best thing is it doesn’t weigh down no matter how much conditioner I use and keeps them bouncy for 2-3 days. I wouldn’t recommend it for dry frizzy hair as it is not very moisturizing and won’t be able to deliver that silky smooth effect that you’ll be looking for but makes a great conditioner for thin, limp hair and oily scalp.
